within the next weeks we are going to migrate our current documentation system for both InstallForge and Visual Update to a new system. The current one will be accessible as usual through our homepage.

we can confirm that there is an issue with the splash screen feature. Will be fixed in the next version.

this issue happens due to the rcedit tool from the GitHub developers which InstallForge is using to update the setup executable resources (version information, icon, manifest). We are looking for a solution.
Any further report is much appreciated.

concerning issue 1):
No, that is not possible. End-users should always be able to choose whether they want the setup to create desktop shortcuts. This is a design-decision.
2) Not in the recent release. But we are planning to add this feature.
