Default Installation Path Variable Help

Postby alvin8t » Wed Apr 01, 2015 5:50 am

I'm trying to install a few worlds and/or resource pack(s) in to the .minecraft folder located in the Appdata folder how do I get the 'User' variable? Such as C:\Users\(User Goes Here)\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft

This is to make the installation of a world and a resource pack easier. This is to make sure that they have both of them.

Hi,

Use this variable: <AppData>

It will give you this path: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming

Hi,

Use this variable: <AppData>

It will give you this path: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming
Could you please give me the full path, so that I could copy and paste it into the installer?

I've built you an example.

You will find it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9DHD9 ... sp=sharing

Instructions:
1.) Download the ZIP-file and extract it
2.) Open the project file
3.) Add the two folders: 'saves' and 'resourcepacks' to the project
4.) Build it and you will install one file an one folder called 'SAMPLE' in your .minecraft-folder. The file is located in '.minecraft\resourcepacks' and the folder in '.minecraft\saves'

To customize: Only add your resourcepacks or savegames into the specific folder.
