Hi
When I run an installation setup I get this error

Setup Error! Could not read setup package!

Image

but if I remove this backslash everything works

my default installation path looks like this:
<ProgramFiles>\<Company>\<AppName>\

I tried this default installation path. But does not work
<ApplicationData>\<AppName>

I have InstallForge 1.4.1.16 (x86)

Can you help me?

Thank you very much
Greetings Franz

Hello,

thanks for this report. We will investigate it.

You can download older versions of InstallForge here: https://installforge.net/support/docs/d ... -versions/

Related to this: If you have your Install Forge created setup file on a mapped network drive or access it from the UNC path you get the above error as well.

Error is still occurred at version 1.4.4. If I install app on my computer from local disk everything is ok. But if I install app from mapped network drive a get this error.

Hi. I can confirm that I have the same problem on version 1.4.4. When I add a folder to the package, if there is a \ sign at the end of the installation path, the installation gives "Setup Error! Could not read setup package!" error and closes. If I delete \ the installation completes without any problem.
