well i made this these folders in my web server. see the screenshots.

I got mine to work after LOTS of trial and error. First within Installforge for the update server I removed the trailing '/', make sure your case sensitivity is correct as HTML is case sensitive, that goes for your URL's and the file names and directories within your updatescript.ini. Took me a while (4 hours) to get it all working, but all seems good now. I have it setup at work on a Windows Server 2008 R2, I DID have to add a couple things for MIME types such as .ini text/ini couple of others similiarly.

Hallo, ich habe seit gestern diesen Installer im Einsatz, da ich ihn nur für die Updatemöglichkeit benötige. Ich arbeite mit einem Webhosting Paket von Strato. Leider bekomme ich auch ständig die Meldung das er keine Verbindung mit dem Server herstellen kann. Mein Updatescipt schaut wie folgt aus:

releases
{
1.0
1.1
}

release:1.0
{
}

release:1.1
{
DownloadFile:Test.pdf
}

Ich habe zum test unter Hauptseite ein neuen Ordner "test" angelegt und dort einen Unterordner "Updates". Unter "test" liegt das Script und unter "Updates" liegen die Dateien für Version 1.1. Das mit dem MIME Type müsste klappen da zuvor ein andres Programm gehabt habe das Updates auch mit einer INI Datei geregelt hat. Dieses kann ich leider nicht mehr benutzen da es bei Windows Rechner immer zu Abstützen kommt nachdem er die Updatedatei überprüft hat. Es war von IB-Software.

Nun zurück. Stelle unter InstallForge weit http Seiten ein der erste zeigt auf http://www.wsenet.info/test und der andere auf http://wsenet.info/test. Ich habe beide Varianten auch mit "/" am Ende probiert. Leider ohne Erfolg. Wenn ich die PDF Datei unter dem Ordner "Updates" über http://www.wsenet.info/test/Updates/Test.pdf aufrufe wird sie mir auch angezeigt.

Was muss ich machen um das Update zum laufen zu bekommen. Kann mir einer helfen?

Hallo,

wie es scheint liegt es an Strato. Ich habe mal das Webhostingpaket von einem Bekannten bei 1und1 getestet. Hier hat es funktioniert.

Werde den Vertrag kündigen da ich noch in den 14 Tage bin wegen einer Stornierung und bei 1und1 das Webhosting Paket bestellen.
